parent information
* VPK begins on August 20, 2012 from 9:00am-12:00pm. Please be sure to have your children arrive on time, as our Circle Time begins promptly at 9:00 am.
* All children in the VPK classroom will receive a VPK daily folder. The purpose of these folders are to provide daily parent-teacher communication and to promote parent involvement. Parents are required to view the folder after each school day, as they will contain important information for the week and basic concepts we will be learning about throughout the year."Homework" will be sent home on each Friday and will be due the following Friday, as well as a student weekly progress report with parent signature required. Homework will consist of fun activities you and your child can work on together and will emphasize the curriculum we are teaching the students throughout the week, Please remember, Pre-K is a very important step in preparing for Kindergarten, so parent involvement is crucial to your child's development and growth. Please take the time to review the following with your child on a weekly basis: writing and recognition of your child's full name, the alphabet, numbers, colors and Sight words. All of these concepts will be provided in your child's folder for your convenience. Together, we can help your child build a strong foundation for their continued educational success!!
